Review of ferritic steels used in fusion reactors

Ferritic steels have been candidate structural materials for first wall and blanket stuctures of fusion reactors due to their low activation properties. They are heat resistant materials that show good thermal, mechanical and radiation behaviors. In many international programs research and development facilities have been done to optimize the properties of ferritic steels. This study presents an overview of the properties of ferritic steels developed for fusion reactors.
