Bu çalışmada, masa yapımında kullanılan sütun ayakların (orta noktadan) mukavemetine kavelalı ve kırlangıç kuyruğu birleşme yöntemi ile ağaç türünün etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deney örneklerinin hazırlanmasında sarıçam (Pinus Silvestris L.) ve doğu kayını (Fagus Orientalis L.) ağaç türleri, yapıştırıcı olarak polivinilasetat (PVAc) tutkalı kullanılmıştır. Gerçek boyutlarında hazırlanan 60 adet deney örneğine DIN 52 185 esaslarına uyularak basınç deneyi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, en yüksek basınç direnci kırlangıç kuyruğu birleşmeli kayın sütun ayaklarda tesbit edilmiştir.

In this study, the effects of wooden type, dowel and lock joints methods on strength of the column-legs located in the centre used in the production of tables have been investigated. The preparetion of the speciments pinus (Pinus Silvestris L.) and beech (Orienlalis Fagus L.), as adhesive polyviniylacetate (PVAc) have been used. Sixty speciments prepared in actualy dimensions were tested under compression in according to DIN 52185. It was been observed that beech column-legs with lock joint method demonstrated the higst comprcssive strength under the compression test.
