Düşük ve orta dereceli lenfomalarda intensif kemoterapinin etkinliğini araştırmak amacıyla düşük ve orta dereceli 24 lenfomalı hasta COP-BLAM-V (Siklofosfamid, Vinkristin, Prednison, Bleomisin, Adriamisin, Prokarbazin) kombinasyon kemoterapisi ile tedavi edildi. Düşük dereceli 15 hastanın 9'unda (%60), orta dereceli 9 hastanın ise 3'ünde (%33) tam remisyon elde edildi. Tüm gruplar için median yaşam süresi 41 ay'dı. Tam remisyon elde edilen 12 hastadaki median yaşam süresi 48, hastalıksız yaşam süresi ise 44 ay idi. Kısmi remisyon elde edilen 10 hastada (%33) median yaşam süresi 36 ay, tedaviye cevap vermeyen 2 hastadaki median yaşam süresi ise 3 ve 7 ay idi. Toplam 6 hastada (%25) ilaçlara bağlı yan etki gözlendi. Bu sonuçlar COP-BLAM-V rejiminin düşük ve orta dereceli lenfomalı hastalarda tam remisyon sağlandıktan sonra uzun süreli yaşam sağlayabileceğini göstermektedir.

To define the role of intensive combination chemotherapy in the treatment of low grade and intermediate grade lymphomas, 24 patients were treated with COP-BLAM-V (Cyclophosphamide, Vincristine, Prednisone, Bleomycin, Adriamycin and Procarbazine). The complete response rate was % 50 (12 of 24) including % 60 (9 of 15) with low grade and %33 (3 of 9) with intermediate grade lymphoma, whereas the median survival for the entire group was 41 months. In the 12 patients with remission (complete responders), median survival was 48 months and median disease free survival was 44 months. In eight patients (33%) with partial remission, median survival was 36 months. The median survival of two patients, who did not response to chemotherapy, was 3 and 7 months. Toxicity related to therapy was observed in six patients (25%) These data indicate that long survival can be achieved in low grade and intermediate grade lyphomas after attaining a complete remission with intensive chemotherapy regimens such as COP-BLAM-V
