İlköğretim kurumlarında, çocuğun öğreneceği bilgileri içeren ders kitapları ,derslere karşı oluşacak ilgi ve sevgisinin temellerini atmada önemli bir rol üstlenir. Çocuk, bu eğitim ve öğretim materyali ile her yıl tekrar tekrar karşılaşılacak, her karşılaşma da çocuğun görsel ve sözsel hafızasını hep bir adım öteye götürecektir. Ders kitabının içeriği kadar, bu metinleri destekleyici resimlemelerin de bilgiyi aktarmada önemli işlevleri olmaktadır. Bu imajlar sadece metni destekleyici görevleri değil, çocuğun görsel sanat eğitimine de katkılar sağlamaktadır. This is an important experience for them, which generally constitutes the base for their interest and love to the school. The effects of this first encounter may continue for many years and occupy a central place in children’ visual and verbal memory. Illustrations supporting the course texts at this point have very significant functions. These images not only strengthen the texts in the book, but also contribute the students’ visual and artistic education. Therefore, if the required importance may be consciously given to the illustrations in the course books, the enjoyment of the students for being in the class, and depending on that, their desire to learn will also intensify. This may only be realised together with the high quality illustrations inside the smart course books.
