Pakistan bölgesinde üretilen edebiyat kendine has mizacı vardır ve özel bir yaratıcılığa sahiptir. Pek çok etken, sayısız etki ona kesin bir şekil vermede rollerini oynadılar. Bunların en önemlisi Pakistanlılık bilinci ve onunla ilgili durumudur. Bütün edebiyat akımları bu temel kalıba unsurlar taşıdılar ve yaratıcı yazının tamamına sağlıklı bir yapı hediye ettiler.

The emergence of Pakistan on map of the Indian subcontinent was a turning point in the political and social life of the area. The literature produced in the area known as Pakistan carries a stamp of its own and possesses a peculiar temperament and intellectual innovation. So many factors, various influences have played their role in giving in a certain shape. The more importanta of these is the Pakistani consciousness and its relevant aspects. All the literary movement carried the elements of this basic mould and has bestowed a unique wholesomeness to all creative writing.
