Abstract Faqe Qadri Hamawand in Qajar Documents There are cetain poets in the history of Kurdish literature whose some aspects of their lives have not been known yet and there is little information about them, this is particularly true for nineteenth century poets. One important way to reach to this information about Kurdish community in general and the history of Kurdish literature in particular is through getting access to manuscripts and documents. This study in this respect, through the use of Qajar documents, focuses on some aspects of one of the Kurdish poets and tribal leader who is known as Faqe Qadri Hamawand. This research discusses part of his activities, movements on the border of Ottoman-Qajar, his rebellious moves and fights as well as translating all these documents which are used in this study.
