Which Type Of Verbal Problems Do The Teachers And Education Materials Present To Children In Preschool Period ?

– In this study, the kinds of verbal problems about addition and subtraction which were presented by two important components, teachers and educational materials (activity books), in the education of pre-school children were investigated. The mixed research method was used in the study. This research consists of two separate data sources. The first data source of the study consisted of 325 pre-school teachers who were teaching in 41 independent pre-schools of the Ministry of the National Education in Adana. The second data source of the study consisted of the books of 12 publishing company, selected by 20 % randomly, which prepared educational materials about maths teaching in the pre-school period and the maths activity books that were published by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and sent to the pre-schools. The data of the study were collected through questionnaires and documents. The result of the research revealed that both the teachers and the educational materials prepared for the children usually presented the problems with unknown results more and they ignored the other kinds of problems
