Robert Musil’in Etik ve Estetik Anlayışı: Bir Yazma ve Yaşama Biçimi Olarak Denemecilik
Kendi dönemindeki birçok düşünür gibi Robert Musil de Nietzsche’den etkilenmiş ve felse-feyle edebiyat arasındaki bir alanda yazmıştır. Nietzsche’nin etik, estetik ve kendilik üzerine dü-şünceleri Musil’in bütün çalışmalarında görülebilir. Bu düşüncelerden biri, öznenin çözünümüteması, Musil tarafından nihilizme bir davet değil, yeni bir kendilik ve etik anlayışına açılmaolarak incelenmiştir. Musil’in yaklaşımında etik ve estetiğin buluştuğu, dahası bir ve aynı oldu-ğu bir alan vardır. Bu birleşmenin merkezinde bir yazma ve yaşama biçimi olarak denemecilik(essayism) fikri bulunur. Bu konuda Musil’in Kant’ın Üçüncü Eleştiri’sindeki estetik anlayışını ta-kip ettiğini belirtmeliyiz. Tıpkı Kant’ta gördüğümüz gibi Musil’de estetik deneyim bireyin olağandeneyimini askıya alma yetisine sahiptir.
Robert Musil’s Understanding of Ethics and Aesthetics: Essayism As a Way of Writing and of Living
Like many of his generation, Robert Musil was influenced by Nietzsche and wrote in the spac-es between philosophy and literature. Nietzschean ideas about ethics, aesthetics and selfhoodcan be found all over his work. One idea, the dissolution of the subject, was treated not as an in-vitation to nihilism but as an opening toward a new conception both of the self and of ethics. Ashe explored it, ethics and aesthetics became one. Central to this merging is the idea of essayism,as a way of writing and of living. However, Musil follows Kant more than Nietzsche in his notionof aesthetic experience as a special interplay between the intellect and the faculty of sensibility.
