Bu makalede, biz öncelikle, İslam kültür tarihindeki belli bir takım şartların sevkiyle oluşan bir fenomen olan “İslami mitoloji”den söz edeceğiz. Sonra İslam’ın temel inançlarıyla ilgili metinlerdeki dini mitolojik boyuta dikkat çekmeye çalışacak ve bu metinler etrafında bilimsel bir tartışma alanı açmayı hedeflemekteyiz. Bu makale Frenkçe tabiriyle bir “mise-en-question” denemesidir; dolayısıyla bu sorunsalın çözümü konusunda bir ilk adım olarak kabul edilmeyi ümit etmektedir. Bahis konusu bu sorunsal, İslâm ilahiyat kültürünün pek çok bakımlardan önemli bu boyutu, kısaca adlandırmamız gerekirse, bizim “şimdilik” kaydıyla kullandığımız bir terimle, “İslâm mitolojisi”dir. Bu terim bilindiği gibi yeni değildir ve uzun zamandan beri zaten kullanılmaktadır.

In this paper, we will, first, refer to “Islamic mythology”, a phenomenon which was constructed according to a certain conditions in the history of Islamic culture; then try to focus on religious mythological dimension of the texts relevant to basic beliefs of Islam, and then aim to open a scholarly space for a scientific discussion around these texts. This paper is basically an essay as a form of “mise-en-question”. Thus it hopes to be a first step of solution of the problem put forward by our own study. This problem can be tentatively coined as the problem of Islamic mythology. This term has a long time of application, and not a new term.
