Focal myositis is a rare benign inflammatory myopathy that mimics soft tissue neoplasm in localized muscle groups. It was first described in 1977 and around 30 cases have been reported in literature. The leg is the most common site of involvement, but it can also affect the upper extremities, abdomen, head and neck. The etiology is unknown. The myositis usually resolves spontaneously or with treatment. In this report a thirteen years old boy with recurrent three episodes of focal myositis is presented with after ten years of follow-up.
