Üç boyutlu uzayda dönme ve öteleme hareketi yapan koordinat sistemlerinin hareketlerini tanımlamak için birçok yöntem geliştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla kullanılan kuaternionların diğer yöntemlerden daha basit ve kullanışlı bir yöntem ortaya koyduğu bilinmektedir. Dual kuaternionlar için benzer tartışmalar sözkonusudur. Bu çalışmada; dual sayılar, dual vektörler, dual kuaternionlar ve bunlar üzerindeki temel işlemler tanımlanarak dönme+öteleme hareketi yapan sistemler için yeni bir dönüşüm tanımlanmış ve bir örnekle gösterilmiştir.

Many methods have been developed to describe the coordinate systems which are making rotational and. translational motion in three dimensional space. It is known that quaternions which have been used in this purpose have many identities which are simplier and more useful than the other methods. It is possible similar discussion for dual quaternions, too. In this paper; dual numbers, dual vectors, dual quaternions and their basic algebra have been defined and a new transformation have been described for coordinate systems which are making rotational and translational motion and it is illustrated an example.
