ÖZETSon yıllarda artan nüfusla birlikte kentleşme, sanayi, tarım, ulaşım ve turizmin artmasıyla mekan üzerinde yoğun baskılar oluşmaktadır. Mekanda meydana gelen bu baskıda değişimlere neden olmakta, doğa tahrip edilmekte ve çevresel sorunlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bütün bu unsurlarda günümüzde sürdürülebilirlik kavramını ve mekan yönetimini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu çalışmada İstanbul ili sınırları içersinde yer alan ancak doğal ve beşeri coğrafya özellikleri açısından İstanbul ili genelinden farklı yapıda olan İstanbul Adaları incelenmiştir. Çalışmada İstanbul Adaları’nın doğal ve beşeri ortam özellikleri değerlendirilerek, sorunların tespiti ve yönetimi, coğrafi etki değerlendirmesi ve SWOT analizi ile mekan-kıyı yönetimi oluşturulmuştur. Bütün bu verilerle birlikte İstanbul Adaları’nın mekan kullanımı sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında planlanmış ve haritaları üretilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar İstanbul Adaları’nın büyük kısmının koruma altında olmasına rağmen yerleşim alanları ve kıyı alanlarında bazı sorunların olduğu ve önlemler alınmazsa gelecekte bu sorunların daha da artacağını göstermektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Mekan ve kıyı kullanımı, mekan yönetimi, sürdürülebilirlik, planlama, CBSABSTRACTWith a growing population, urbanization in recent years, industry, agriculture, heavy pressure on space with increased transport and tourism are formed. Space cause changes in pressure occurring in nature is being destroyed and it is emerging environmental issues. All these elements and the concept of sustainability today revealed the space management. In this study, located in the province of Istanbul within the natural and human geography, but in terms of the overall Istanbul province with a different structure has been examined Islands. Istanbul evaluating the characteristics of natural and human environment on the island working, detection and management of problems, geographic impact assessment and space-coastal management has been established by the SWOT analysis. Istanbul's covered all the islands with the planned use of space data and maps are produced sustainability.
