Before his more detailed work, De Revolutionibus Orbium Caelestium (1543) Copernicus wrote a brief sketch of his astronomical system, entitled De Hypothesibus Motuum Caelestium A Se Constitutis Commentariolus (known as also Commentariolus - Little Commentary) and shared with some scholars.
