Çeşitli klinik örneklerden izole edilen stafilokok suşlarında kristal viyole reaksiyonu ve metisilin, vankomisin, teikoplanin direnci

Crystal violet reactions and methicillin, vancomycin, teikoplanin resistance in Staphylococcus strains from various clinical samples

A total 216 staphylococci strains have been collected from various clinical samples. Of these 130 were S.aureus; 86 were coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS). Crystal violet reaction (CVR) in 216 staphylococci strains has been investigated and the relationship between their origin and areas has been invastigated. Mean while slime production and CVR have been investigated in CNS. The CVR positivity rate in S.aureus strains originated from hospital were 60.2% and in community originated its 37.1 % , in S.aureus strains isolated from deep tissues 69.4%, and superficial areas 45.7%.. The CVR positivity rate of S.aureus strains originated from hospital is significantly higher than that of community originated (p<0.05). The CVR positive rate of S.aureus strains isolated deep tissues is higher than that of from superficial areas (p<0.05). There has been no statistical correlation between slime production and CVR in CNS ( p>0.05). Methicillin, vancomycin and teicoplanin resistance of the strains have also been investigated. There was no correlation between CVR and antibiotic resistance of the strains.
