Post-discharge Feedback Evaluation of Patients who HaveReceived Health Care in Orthopedic Surgery
INTRODUCTION: In this study, we aimed to evaluate thesatisfaction levels and feedbacks of inpatients after discharge. METHODS: This descriptive study was conducted at a statehospital on patients aged over 18 who have undergone surgeryand were discharged. A sociodemographics form, satisfactionsurveys, the EQ-5D-3L and EQ-VAS scales were used incollecting the data. One-way variance analysis in multiplegroup comparisons, Tukey’s multiple comparison test insubgroup comparisons, independent samples t-test in binarygroups, and chi-square test in comparison of the qualitativedata has been used for evaluation. RESULTS: In total, 225 people completed the survey. Thesatisfaction level of the patients according to the city, gender, marital status, education level, and income level showed asignificant difference (p0.05). Of all thepatients, 94.7% stated that they would apply to the sameinstitution again if surgery was necessary. After discharge, theEQ-5D-3L scale scores ranged between good and moderate.. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Determining the needsof the patients is an important indicator in the evaluation of thequality and direction of the services to be provided. For thisreason, periodical scientific researches should be conducted toincrease patient satisfaction and achieve excellence inhealthcare services. It should also be noted that physicians andnurses have the most important impact on patient satisfaction.
