Orofasial Ağrıların Değerlendirilmesinde Yeni Vizyon: fMRI

Orofasial bölge yapılarının ve fonksiyonlarının sağlıklı bir şekilde sürdürülmesi diş hekimlerinin sorumluluk alanına girmektedir. Diş kaynaklı ağrının teşhisi diş hekimleri açısından güç bir durum olmasa da orofasial bölgeye yayılan şikayetler için hekimin yeterli bilgi ve deneyime sahip olması gerekmektedir. Ağrı çok boyutlu ve multidisipliner tedavi gerektirebilecek bir deneyimdir. Ağrı mekanizmalarının anlaşılması üzerine birçok çalışma yapılmaktadır. Gelişen teknoloji hekim ve hastaya birçok noktada kolaylık sağlarken bilimsel çalışmalar için yeni bir vizyon kazandırmaktadır. Bu derlemede orofasial ağrı güncel olarak yayınlanmış fonksiyonel manyetik rezonans çalışmaları ve bulguları ışığında irdelenmesi amaçlanmıştır
