Batılılar 20. Yüzyılın başından itibaren havacılık alanında önemli başarılar sağlamıştır. Türkler de her türlü maddi imkânsızlığa rağmen, havacılık alanındaki gelişmelerin uzağında kalmamıştır. Osmanlı devleti ve Genç Cumhuriyet, ülkenin içinde bulunduğu şartlar ve halkın yaşadığı ekonomik sıkıntılar nedeniyle hava kuvvetlerinin uçak ihtiyaçlarını yeterli miktarda karşılayamamıştır. Kahramanlık ve fedakârlığın timsali olan Anadolu halkı, ülkenin kalkınması ve hava gücünün yapılanması için mücadele vermiş bu mücadelede ordusu ile bütünleşmiştir. Toplumun her kesimi büyük bir katılımla hava gücünü desteklemek için bağış kampanyasına dâhil olmuştur. Türk Kadını, köylüsü, işadamı, sanayicisi, askeri, içtenlikle hava kuvvetlerini desteklemenin milli ve dini bir vecibe olduğu bilinciyle bu sektörü kuvvetlendirmek için bilinçli adımlar ile planlı bir şekilde çalışmalara başlamıştır. Türk hava sanayi bu süreç sonunda Dünyada saygın bir konuma gelmiştir.

For this reason, the air force does not have enough aircraft. Air force needed aircraft in a significant amount. Especially during the first years of the republic, a large participation of the society has been involved in campaign donations in support of air power. Turkish women, peasants, businessmen, industrialists, military, air forces to sincerely support the national and religious obligation to strengthen the awareness that this sector has started to work in a planned way with deliberate steps. Turkish air industry in the world at the end of this process has become respectable.
