Treatment of interdigital fibroma with electroextirpation and ivregab in simmental cattle: 6 cases
The material was consisted of six Simmental catties. Interdigital fibroma was detected in all cases. In two cows, two right forelimbs were affected, where as in other two cows, right hindlimb affected. In two cows both hindlimbs were affected. The necassary procedures were performed following xylazine HCl administration, IVREGAB was applied to the effected limbs and the hyperplastic mass was extirpated by electrocoter. The effected limbs were potected by dry bandages during ten days post-operation. IVREGAB application was repeated at third day of post-operation. The healing has completed in day 18-20 in four cases exposed to electroextirpation. Further more, lameness gradually disappeared during the treatment. Enfection and occurance of fibroma was viewed on none of cases. Satisfactory disinfection was obserwed during electrocoter application combined with IVREGAB, in addition, it was recorded that this method was very effective in terms of prevention of post-operative sepsis.
