The effects, of carbon tetrachlorür poison on the biochemical and pathologic parameters as a result of lipid perowidation in geese

Changes in the level of malondialdehyde (MDA, a degradative product of lipid peroxidation) and the levels of serum, total lipid, total proteine, albumin, glucose, ure, uric acid, cholesterol, calcium, inorganic phosphete, sodium, potasium in geese with carbon tetrachloride-induced liver degeranation were studied, in order to determine whether there is any relation between these parameters and the degeranation. Liver degeration was induced in geese by carbon tetrachloride (2 ml/kg body weight) Which was oral-pathway three times a week for ten weeks. Malondialdeyide content of the plasma was higher than the control value at the first sampling (P<0.01) 5. week after treatment and decreased to the control level there after. No significant changes were found ure, uric acid albumin, Na and K levels between at the first 5 and 10th week sampling. The level of serum total protein, total lipid, inorganic phosphere Ca in the group with degerations were significantly higher than in the control group (P< 0.01). The lipid peroxidation of every parameter was seen as logical in terms of statistical (P<0.05). Under microscopic examination hydropic and fat degeneration of the liver were observed and the skeleton system was seen to be completely deformed with the bones twisted, in part. Thus, we consider that cirhosis causes changes lead to oxidative stress and peroxidation and it can blood serum of geese biochemical parameters.
