Thermo-Hydraulic Performance of Solar Air Heater Duct having Triangular Protrusions as Roughness Geometry

An experimental investigation has been carriedout for a range of system and operating parameters inorder to analyze effect of artificial roughness on heattransfer and friction in solar air heater duct havingtriangular protrusions as roughness geometry. Anincrease in heat transfer and friction loss has beenobserved in solar for duct having roughened absorberplate. Experimental data have been used to developNusselt number and friction factor correlations asfunction of system and operating parameters forpredicting performance of the system havinginvestigated type of roughness geometry.
