PRES’e Bağlı Ani Gelişen Bilateral Görme Kaybı

Posterior Reversibl Ensefalopati Sendromu (PRES) mental durum bozukluğu, nöbet, baş ağrısı, görme kaybından bilinç bozukluluğuna kadar çeşitlilik sunan ve genellikle geri dönüşümlü nörolojik sendrom olarak açıklanır. Bu yazımızda intramusküler analjezik uygulanması sonrası gelişen bilateral görme kaybı ve nöbet sonrası getirildiği acil servisimizde klinik ve nöroradyolojik bulguları ile PRES tanısı konulan 59 yaşındaki hipertansif kadın hastaya ait olgu literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur

Sudden Bilateral Visual Loss Developed Connected to PRES

Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome (PRES) describes a usually reversible neurologic syndrome with a variety of presenting symptoms ranging from headache, altered mental status, seizures, and vision loss to loss of consciousness. In this paper a case of a female patient, 59, admitted to our emergency department with bilateral visual loss and seizure following intramusculer analgesic application and diagnosed with PRES with clinical and radiological findings is presented in the light of literature.
