EVALUATION OF POPULAR WEB PORTALS IN TURKEY BASED ON USERS’ FEELINGS VIA KANSEI ENGINEERING

The comparison and evaluation of web portals widely used in Turkey is a multi-dimensional problem. This problem is solved by using the Kansei engineering which a user-oriented engineering approach based on ergonomics and computer science. To describe the relationship between professionalism feeling evoked by web portals on users and kansei words that reflect professionalism feeling, the ordinal logistic regression model was developed. In addition, web portals were compared using analysis of variance in terms of users’ feelings. As a result, important conclusions and recommendations are presented toweb portal designers.
