BILATERAL BASAL GANGLIA HEMORRHAGE RELATED WITH ECSTASY
Introduction: An amphetamine derivative MDMA (3-4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine, " Ecstasy") is a commonly used hallucinogenic and stimulant compound. Similar toother sympathomimetic drugs, it suse has been associated with severe systemic and neurological complications. Case: In this study, we present a 35-year-old female patient who was diagnosed as having bilateral basal ganglion hemorrhage due to unconsciousness and followed up in our clinic. The patient, whose symptoms started 10 hours after the use of Extasy, was followed up with medical treatment. Conclusion: Often, the narrative of substance use can be hidden by patients and their relatives. We have been presented to emphasize that substance use in patients with atypical intracranial hemorrhage should be questioned.
