Macro-anatomic and radiagraphic studies on dural sinuses and their extracranial venous connections in rabbits

Bu çalışmada 30 adet Yeni Zelanda tavşanı kullanılmıştır. V. rnaxillaris ile v. linguofacialis'ten 10 adet tavşana mavi renklendirilmiş Batson's No. 17, 10 adet tavşana latex, geri kalan 10 adedine de radyopak bir madde olan baryum sülfat enjekte edildi. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda dorsal sinus sisteminin diğer evcil hayvanlardan farklı olmadığı fakat ventral sinus sisteminde bazı farklılıkların olduğu saptandı. Sinüs cavernosus'un öne bulbus olfactorius'un venalarına kadar uzandığı ve burun boşluğundaki venalarla ilişkili olduğu görüldü. Bu sinus'un for. orbitorotundum, for. opticum, for. ovale ile for. cranioplıaryngeum'dan geçen vv. emissarium'lar ile extracranial venalarla ilişki sağladığı gözlendi. Sinüs intercavernosus caudalis'in mevcut olduğu, sinüs intercavernosus cranialis'in ise bulunmadığı belirlendi. Sinüs petrosus ventralis'in sinüs cavernosus ile sinüs sigmoideus arasında uzandığı ve bu sinustan iki kol ayrıldığı saptandı. Bu kollardan biri fossa cerebellaris içinde çöküntü oluşturarak seyreder, diğeri de düz bir seyirle for. jugulare hizasına kadar gelir ve for. jugulare'den geçerek extracranial bağlantı şekillendirir. Bu kol ayrıca caudal'e doğr.u seyrederek for. occipitale magnum'dan geçer ve plexus vertebralis internus dorsalis'e karışır. Sinüs basilaris'in sinüs petrosus ventralis'in başlangıç kısmından ayrıldığı ve plexiform yapıda olduğu gözlendi.

Tavşanda sinus durae matris ve extracranial venalarla ilişkileri üzerine makroanatomik ve radyografik araştırmalar

In this study, 30 New Zealand rabbits were divided into three groups. Each group consisted often rabbits. These rabbits were injected with the blue coloured Batson's 17, the blue latex and barium sulphate via maxillary vein and linguofacial vein in group 1, 2 and 3 respectively. The observations have shown that no difference was found in dorsal system of dural sinuses in comparison to the domestic animals while some differences were in ventral system of dural sinuses. The cavernous sinus was extended to rhinal veins which come from olfactory bulbs, the osseus nasal cavity and its covering mucosa and these veins were connected with the veins in the nasal cavity. The cavernous sinus had also four connections with extracranial veins by means of emissary veins which pass through orbitorotundum, optic, oval and craniophryngeal foramens. The two cavernous sinuses were connected behind the stalk of the dorsum sellae by means of posterior intercavernous sinus but the anterior intercavernous sinus was absent. The ventral petrosal sinus had two branches and was extended between cavernous sinus and sigmoid sinus. One of its branch was passed through the cerebellar fossa caudally while the other branch was extend-ed caudally and passed through jugular foramen and after forming an extracranial connection, it was contin-ued caudally and connected with internal vertebral plexus in vertebral canal. The basılar sinus was separated from the beginning of ventral petrosal sinus and it had the appearance of a venous network.
