19. yüzyılın son dönemlerinde 'sosyalist' ütopya olarak adlandırılan türün temsilcilerinden biri de Hiçbiryerden Haberler'i ile William Morris olarak kabul edilir. Morris'in ütopyası her ne kadar 'sosyalist' olarak kabul edilse de, bu ütopik metinde modernitenin temel prensiplerinden ciddi kopuş noktaları belirlemek mümkündür. William Morris's News from Nowhere is accepted as one of the representatives of the genre identified as the ‘socialist' utopias in the late 19th century. Even though Morris's utopia is regarded as ‘socialist', it is possible to identify many points of rupture from the basic premises of modernity. Because, there is a visible romantic search for re-establishing the communism of the 14th centruy in Morris's utopia. The romantic elements in the text lead to a disassociation with socialism as well as modernity. In addition, there is a strong tension between socialism and modernity in Morris's utopia because of his romanticisim. It is argued that Morris's utopia is not modern thus can not be labeled as socialist but it would be more valid to classify it is as ‘Romantic Communist'.
