Pozitif Kurumsal Kültürü Geliştirmede İşyerinde Sosyal Aktivite Uygulamaları (Bir Alan Araştırması)

Geleneksel olarak iş kavramı her zaman zorluk, pratiklilik, ciddiyet, detaycılık, zahmetlilik gibi kavramlarla bir arada ele alınmıştır. Buna karşılık, son yıllarda çalışanların işyeri ortamından keyif almaları, moral ve verimlilik açısından ön plana çıkan bir konu olma eğilimindedir. Günümüzde bu durumun farkında olan bir çok şirket (Southwest Airlines ve Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc gibi) işyeri ortamında bu tür aktiviteleri destekleyerek, kurumsal kültürlerini pozitif yönde dönüştürmekte ve çalışanların pozitif kişisel tutum ve davranışlarını teşvik etmektedir. Bu makalenin amacı, pozitif kurumsal kültürü geliştirmede önemli bir role ve etkiye sahip olan sosyal aktivite kavramının uygulamadaki boyutlarını tartışmak, bu kavramın yansımalarını, çalışanlar ve organizasyon açısından sonuçlarını değerlendirmektedir. Makale, konuyu Ocak-Eylül 2005 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilen bir alan araştırması ile değerlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir.

Social Activities at Workplace in Improving Positive Organizational Culture: A Survey

Words associated with work are tough, tedious, boring, serious, routine traditionally. However, recently, much has been said about "fun at work" environments and their importance for employee morale and productivity. These activities that produce humor, when incorporated into positive corporate culture (such as Southwest Airlines and Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc.), may increase employee performance (i.e. a person's positive and productive stimulus-based reaction). The purpose of this article is to study what are a fun work environment in improving positive organizational culture, its component characteristics, and its results for employees and organizations according to a research, which was undertaken between January and September 2005 in Turkey.
