Experimental investigation of ground source, solar source and air source heat pumps in Elazığ and energy and exergy analysis of these systems
In this study, the performance characteristics, energy and exergy analyses of a solar assisted, ground source and air source heat pump systems constructed for domestic heating were investigated. The experimental set-up was constructed in a test room with 60 m2 floor area in Firat University, Elazığ. A system consisting of six plate solar water collectors, one heat exchanger, two plate type water evaporators, two circulation pumps, one air source evaporator and auxiliary apparatus was used during measurements. The experiments made in the heating season from December to March in 2002-2003. As a result in this study, the heating performance coefficients, the energy and exergy analyses in each of the components of the solar assisted, air source and ground source heat pump systems were calculated and compared with each other.
