EDMUND BURKE’ÜN SİYASET FELSEFESİNDE AKIL ANLAYIŞI

Edmund Burke’ün düşünceleri muhafazakâr siyaset felsefesi için temel bir referans kaynağıdır. Bu tarz bir kaynaklığa sebebiyet veren husus onun sahip olduğu akıl anlayışıdır. Bu çalışmada Burke’ün akıl anlayışının mahiyeti üzerinde durulmuştur. Burke’ün akıl anlayışının kavranabilmesi için gelenek ve önyargının önemli olduğu belirtilmiştir. Son olarak ise aklın ahlaki olarak nasıl işleyebileceği konusuna yer verilmiştir. Burke’ün siyaset felsefesine yön veren akıl anlayışını açabilmek için bu hususların altı çizilmiştir.

THE UNDERSTANDING OF REASON IN EDMUND BURKE’S POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY

ABSTRACT The ideas of Edmund Burke is a basic reference source for conservative political philosophy. The main raison of this fact is his understanding of reason. This study elaborated the character of Burke’s understanding of reason. It is specified that the tradition and prejudice are important in order to comprehend Burke’s understanding of reason. Lastly, the subject how can the reason functions morally was handled. These points were emphasized in order to expound the understanding of reason directs Burke’s political philosophy.
