Sokak Çocuğunun Şafağı ve Aylağın Sıkıntısı: Walter Benjamin’de Estetik Deneyimin Çıkmazı

Bu makale, Walter Benjamin’in estetik ve siyaset düşüncesi üzerinde durmaktadır. Benjamin’in estetik anlayışının, günümüzün estetik tartışmaları bağlamındaki yerini sorgulamaktadır. Estetiği bir duyumsama rejimi olarak temel almakta ve siyaset ile estetik arasında duyumsamaya dayanan bir ilişki kurulabileceğini önermektedir. Estetiğin özerklik ve özgürlük yanılsamasına hizmet eden ideolojik bir araç olmaktan çok, özgürlük tecrübesine zemin oluşturan ve toplumsal bağı yeniden kuran potansiyeli üzerinde durmakta; bu açıdan Benjamin’in, modernliğin sosyolojisinden estetik için sonuçlar çıkarma çabasının ve anlamın yakalanması ile anlamın özgürleşmesi arasında kurduğu bağlantıların, estetik ve siyaset arasındaki ilişki biçimini sınırladığına vurgu yapmaktadır. Dolayısıyla makale Benjamin’in, siyasal ve epistemolojik angajmanlarıyla estetik düşüncesi arasındaki uyum ve uyumsuzluğun üzerinde durarak, siyasetle eş uzamda bir estetik düşüncesine ne ölçüde sahip olduğunu tartışmaya açmaktadır.

Dawn of the Street Child and the Boredom of the Flâneur: The Aporia of Aesthetic Experience in Walter Benjamin

This article is a study on Walter Benjamin's aesthetic and political thought. It tries to position Benjamin's aesthetic understanding in the context of today's aesthetic debates. He bases aesthetics as a sensibility regime and proposes that a sensuous relationship can be established between politics and aesthetics. However, it is mentioned that Benjamin ascribes a meaning to aesthetics in the context of saving meaning and emancipating experience; It is emphasized that this attitude limits the relationship between aesthetics and politics. Emphasizing the harmony and inconsistencies between Benjamin's political and epistemological engagements and his aesthetic thought, it is questioned to what extent he has an aesthetic thought in the same space with politics.
