Günümüzde, din dilinin mahiyeti konusundaki tartışmalarda, sembolik ve mecazî ifadelerin tahlili büyük bir önem arz etmektedir. İfadeleri literal anlamlarıyla değil, ifade etmek istedikleri maksatlarla yorumlamayı önceleyen bu tahlillere göre, alegorik anlamın ortaya çıkarılması, teolojik bir metnin aktüellik kazanmasının vazgeçilmez şartıdır. Zamanla, Tanrı mesajının üzerindeki örtünün kaldırılmasını amaçlayan bir disiplin haline gelen bu çabaların İslam dünyasında ciddi bir şekilde boy göstermesi, Hicri II. asırda özellikle Grekçe’den Arapça’ya yapılan tercümeler yoluyla olmuştur. Bu fikirler bilahare o derece yaygınlaşmış ki, bazı Müslüman düşünürler, İslamî inançlarla Grek felsefesindeki rasyonel spekülasyonları uzlaştırmaya büyük bir önem vermişlerdir. Recently, on the discussion about the content of the religious language, the analysis of symbolic and metaphorical expressions has a great importance.According to this assays, which foresees to interpret the expressions not only in their literal meanings, but also in the intensions they wish to express, releasing the figurative meaning is unavoidable obligation in gaining actuality of a text.Introduction of this studies seriously into Islamic world that in the course of time converted into a discipline targeting to remove the cover on the God’s Message, has become especially via the translations from Greek to Arabic in A.H. IIth centuries. These ideas have become so overspread over time that Islamic philosophers have greatly considered importance to reconcile the rational speculations in Greek Philosophy with Islamic beliefs. This phenomenon has become effective about using carelessly of the perception of metaphorical language. What we have to do is acting deliberately. We mean that it is both necessary not to ignore wholly metaphors and literary depictions making richer the language and, with metaphor excuse, not to evaporate and make subjective the meaning, without subjecting to any criterion.
