Bu araştırma, 19981 ve 1999 yıllarında, bazı pamuk çeşitlerinde (Gossypium hirsutum L.) verim ve verim unsurlarını saptamak amacıyla Suruç Ovası koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Denemeler, tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak düzenlenmiş ve materyal olarak 17 pamuk çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; kutlu pamuk verimi yönünden en yüksek verimin StonevilIe-453 çeşidinden alındığı, bunu, Erşan-92, Sayar-314 ve SG-404 çeşitlerinin izlediği saptanmış; koza sayısı yönünden Sayar-314; koza kutlu ağırlığı yönünden Vered-171; lif uzunluğu yönünden Siv-On çeşidi en yüksek değeri; lif inceliği yönünden ise, DeItapine-5409 çeşidi en ince lif değerini vermiştir.

This research was conducted to determine the yield and the yield components of some varieties (Gossypium hirsutum L.) under the Suruç Plain Conditions in years of 1998 and 1999. Experiments were planned according to the randomized complete block design with three replications. Seventeen selected cotton varieties were used. At a result of this study that; it was determined that the highest seed cotton yield was obtained from Stoneville-453, which was followed by Ersan-92, Sayar-314 and Sure Grow-404. In terms of the number of bolls, Sayar-314; in terms of the weight of seed cotton bolls Vered-171; in terms of fiber length Siv-On gave the highest values; in terms of fiber fineness Deltapine-5409 gave the lowest values.
