Diaspora Kavramı: Tarihçe, Gelişme ve Tartışmalar

Diaspora, yaklaşık 2500 yıllık geçmişi olan kadim bir kelime olmasına rağmen, anlamı ve içeriği hâlâ tartışılmaktadır. Özellikle 20. yüzyılda meydana gelen uluslararası siyasi gelişmelerle doğru orantılı olarak, günümüzde kavramın kullanımı fazlasıyla yaygınlaşmıştır. Diaspora kavramının bu kadar kolay kullanılması, kavramsal sınırlarının belirsizleşmesine ve diasporanın ne anlama geldiğinin sorgulanmasına neden olmaktadır.Bu çalışmada da diaspora kelimesinin tarihsel kökenleri ve siyasal gelişmeler doğrultusunda içeriğinin dönüşümü araştırılmaktadır. Çalışmada özellikle tarihsel sınıflandırmanın, diaspora kelimesinin günümüzdeki anlamının kavranmasında en uygun yaklaşım olduğu düşünülmektedir. Klasik diaspora, Modern diaspora ve Çağdaş diaspora şeklindeki bu taksonomik yaklaşım, küreselleşmenin etkisiyle hızla gelişen göç olgusu bağlamında ortaya çıkan “anavatanı dışında yaşayan toplumlar”ın diaspora kavramıyla olan ilişkisini anlamamıza yardımcı olmaktadır. Küreselleşme sürecinin, diaspora kavramı açısından, diaspora toplumları açısından, ev sahibi devlet açısından ve akraba devlet açısından farklı ve önemli etkileri, bu yaklaşımı daha da önemli kılmaktadır.
