A. Smith ve J.A. Schumpeter'in Dinamik Rekabet Teorileri

Bu çalışma, A. Smith ve J.A. Schumpeter’in dinamik rekabet teorilerini incelemektedir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, önce statik rekabet teorilerinden Neoklasik rekabet anlayışı kısaca özetlenmekte, daha sonra da Adam Smith’in rekabet anlayışı denge ve dengesizlik yaratan iki farklı yönüyle birlikte ele alınmaktadır. Rekabet, kapitalizmin değişen yapısı içinde incelendiğinde dinamik özellikler göstermekte ve dengesizliklere neden olmaktadır. İkinci bölümün konusu rekabetin bu yönünü inceleyen Joseph A.Schumpeter’in “yaratıcı yıkım” etkisi ile ortaya koyduğu rekabet anlayışıdır. Amaç, rekabetin ekonomide dengesizlikler yaratan niteliğinin gözardı edilemez olduğunu ortaya koymaktır.

Dynamic Competition Theories of A. Smith and J. A. Schumpeter

This study aims to analyze dynamic competition theories of A. Smith and J.A. Schumpeter. In the first section, a brief summary of neoclassical competition theory, which is one of the static competition concept is given. Then, in the same section, Adam Smith’s competition theory that includes both equilibrating and disequilibrating roles of competition at the same time is examined. When the role of competition in economic theory is analyzed in the changing capitalist system, it has been observed that competition has a dynamic character and a disequilibrating role. The focus of the second section is Schumpeter’s competition concept emphasizing the disequilibrating role of competition by advancing the “creative destruction” process. The aim of this study is to point out that the disequilibrating role of competition cannot be disregarded.
