Alman Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dallarında Çevirinin Önemi ve İşlevi

As it is known, the basic aim of the translation courses is to contribute to the acquistion and the improvement of foreign languages. However, when the characteristics and needs of the learners, who are supposed to reach this aim are taken into consideration, it is much better to keep the mother tongue-target language interrelations in mind rather than starting off from the mother tongue. Therefore, a contrastive analysis, which focuses on the grammar of not only the target language but also the mother tongue proves necessary. In this study, it has been concluded that a translation course on subordinate clauses and which is based on a contrastive grammar approach encourages cognitive learning, provides ease of learning and prevents translation mistakes.
