A profile of an effective teacher of english: A qualitative study from poland
Bu bildiri Polonya’da etkili bir İngilizce öğretmeninin profilini tanımlamayı amaçlayan bir çalışmayı sunmakta ve tartışmaktadır. Esas itibariyle nitel olan bu çalışma, Polonya’da mesleki alan açısından uzmanlıklarında ileri seviyede kabul edilen İngilizce öğretmenleri arasında yapılmıştır. Bu öğretmenlerin öğretilen dil, müfredat geliştirme, öğrenme, öğretme ve dil uzmanlıkları açısından çeşitli konularda bilgi birikimleri ve inançları araştırılacaktır.

This paper presents and discusses a research study aimed at defining the profile of an effective Polish teacher of English. The study, which is qualitative in nature, has been conducted among English language teachers in Poland who are considered excellent in their professional environment. Their kinds of knowledge and their beliefs about the language taught, the curriculum, learning, teaching, and their language profession will be explored.
