Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nın erken döneminde İngiltere'nin stratejik yaklaşımının belirlenmesi: Çanakkale'ye harekat kararının alınmasının İngiltere'nin stratejik yaklaşımının ve savaş hedeflerinin saptanması ile ilişkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı Birinci Dünya Savaşında İngiliz Savaş Konseyi’nin 1915’in Ocak ayında Çanakkale Harekâtı ile ilgili kararı alma sürecini ve bu sürecin savaşın erken döneminde İngiltere’nin savaş stratejisinin ve savaş hedeflerinin belirlenmesi ile olan ilişkisini analiz etmektir. Bu çerçevede Birinci Dünya Savaşının erken döneminde İngiltere’de karar alma mekanizmasının oluşumu ve etkinliği incelenerek, bu mekanizma içinde yer alan görüşlerin ve yaklaşımların yansımalarının karar alma sürecine etkilerinin saptanması hedeflenmiştir.

The determination of British strategical approach during the early period of World War I: The relation between process of decision making about the Dardanelle's campaign and the determination of British strategical approach and War aims

This study aims at analyzing the process of the British War Council’s decision making about the Dardanelles Campaign and observing how this process determines the British strategy and war aims during the early period of World War I. Upon this analysis, The structure of the organization responsible for decision making in Britain for the conduct of war during the early stages of World War I and the reflections of the main approaches and arguments of the decision makers upon the British strategy and war aims are examined, in case of the decision making process for the Dardanelles Campaign.
