Kaşar peynirlerinde zararlı akar türlerini saptamak amacıyla 1985-1986 yıllarında bazı kamu kuruluşlarından toplanan örnekler üzerinde yapılan bu çalışma ile 3 zararlı akar türü bulunmuştur. Tespit edilen türler Acarus immobilis Griffiths, Tyrophagus longior (Gervais) ve Glycophagus domesticus (De Geer)’dur. Hazırlanan bu yayında çalışmada saptanan türlerin morfolojik özellikleri ve zarar şekillerine değinilmiş, ayrıca savaşımlarına ilişkin konularda literatür ışığı altında tartışılmıştır.   

This study was carried out in the years of 1985-1986 in order to determine mites of cheese. Three harmful species of mites were identified on the Turkish kashar cheese. These are: Acarus immobilis Griffiths, Tyrophagus longior (Gervais), Glycophagus domesticus (De Geer). The authors aim in this publication is to make familiar with cheese mite infestation to the personnel who work dairy and cheese storage. The morphological characters of the species were illustrated and their injury, distribution and control were also considered.
