A large body of research since 1990 indicates a positive relationship betweenvarious library services and students’ academic achievement. This present study hasbeen conducted to revitalize the important role of libraries and books necessary forthe success of many students, irrespective of their age. Therefore, this quantitativestudy investigates the possible relationship between Turkish students’ academicachievement mean (GPA) and number of books borrowed from a university libraryduring their undergraduate study at a private university. Based on ANOVA, ScheffeTest, and Spearman Correlation, the analysis of 478 academic achievement recordsof English Language Teaching (ELT) graduates reported a statistically significantcorrelation between number of borrowed library books and students’ academicachievement mean: the more books one borrowed, the higher was the academicachievement.
