Hücresel imalat sistemi son yıllarda gelişmiş en etkili üretim sistemlerinden birisidir.Bununla birlikte, geleneksel imalat sistemlerinin hücresel imalat sistemlerine çevrilmesi oldukça yüksek maliyet gerektirir. Hücresel imalat sistemlerini atölye imalat sistemi ile karşılaştırabilmek için; bu çalışmada, hücresel imalat sistemi ve geleneksel imalat sistemi GPSS simulasyon dili yardımıyla modellenmiş ve çeşitli performans kriterleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir.

Cell manufacturing is one of the most effective manufacturing systems, improved during the last decade. However, conversion from an existing job shop system to a cellular manufacturing system needs high conversion costs. In this study, conversion of cellular manufacturing system from job shop system is analyzed and job shop system and cellular manufacturing system are modeled and simulated by using GPSS simulation language and different performance measures are used to compare the two systems.
