Nadir bir akut üriner retansiyon sebebi: Üretral karünkül

Bu çalısmada idrar yapamama sikayeti ile acil servise basvuran 94 yasında kadınhasta sunulmustur. Acil serviste değerlendirilen hastada fizik muayene ile eksternal üretral meanın posterior dudağında yer alan 2 x 2 cm’lik klinik olarak üretral karünküle bağlı akut üriner retansiyon gelismis olduğu tespit edildi. 16 F üretral kateter takılarak rahatlatılanhastaya elektif olarak üretral kitle eksizyonu yapıldı. Operasyon sonrası problemiolmayan hasta lokal östrojen tedavisi ile takibe alındı.

A rare cause of acute urinary retention: Urethral caruncle

We report a case of a 94-year-old woman admitted to the emergency service with anacute urinary retention complaint. We determined a 2 x 2 cm lesion at the posteriorlip of the external urethral mea and acute urinary retention based on this lesion, whichwas thought to be urethral caruncle on physical examination. A 16 F urethral catheterwas administered to the patient and urethral caruncle excision was performed in elective conditions. The patient is under follow-up with local estrogen therapy.
