Down sendromunun seyrek bir bulgusu kistik akciğer hastalığı: Olgu sunumu
Down sendromlu olgularda kistik akciğer hastalığının gerçek prevalansı bilinenden daha fazladır. Down sendromluolgularda akciğer kistlerinin tanımlanması güçtür, bu nedenle bildirilmiş olgu sayısı azdır. Bu makalede kistik akci ğer hastalığı olan 16 aylık Down sendromlu olgu sunulmaktadır. Olguda akciğer enfeksiyonu semptomları olmama sına rağmen akciğer radyografisinde görülen iki taraflı infiltrasyonlar için çekilen göğüs tomografisinde akciğerdekistler saptandı. Down sendromlu olgularda subplevral kistlerinin varlığı az bilinen bir konu olması nedeniyle, builişkiye dikkat çekmek istedik. (Gazi Med J 2011; 22: 56-8)
Cystic lung disease in a 16 month old girl: A rare finding of down syndrome
The true prevalence of the lung cysts in Down syndrome patients is greater than has been estimated. These cysts werenot easily defined and rarely reported in Down syndrome. In this article we presented a 16-month old girl with Downsyndrome who had cystic lung disease. The cystic lung disease in our patient was diagnosed by CT imaging of thechest for the evaluation of bilateral infiltrations in her plain radiograph, although she had no symptoms of lung infec tion. Since the association of Down syndrome with subpleural lung cysts was not a well known subject, we aimed tocall attention to the incidence of cystic lung disease in Down syndrome.
