Tevazu Ölçeği Geliştirme Çalışması

Bu çalışmada tevazu karakter gücünü ölçmeye yönelik bir ölçme aracı geliştirilmiştir. İlk olarak 167 üniversite öğrencisi üzerinde tevazuyla ilgili nitel çalışma yapılmıştır. Daha sonra nitel çalışma bulguları ve ilgili alanyazın ışığında madde havuzu oluşturulmuş, alan ve dil uzmanlarının görüş ve önerileri dikkate alınıp gerekli düzeltmelerde bulunularak pilot uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tevazu Ölçeği’nin madde analizini yapabilmek ve faktör yapısını ortaya çıkarmak için 373 öğrenciden toplanan verilerle açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin tek faktörlü olmasına karar verilmiş ve faktör yapısını doğrulamak için 302 öğrenciden toplanan verilerle doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin ölçüte dayalı geçerliği için “Benlik Saygısı Envanteri”, “Sosyal İstenirlik Ölçeği”, “Narsistik Kişilik Envanteri” ve “Beck Depresyon Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Tevazu Ölçeği’nin güvenirlik çalışması için iç tutarlılık katsayısı ve test-tekrar test yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda dokuz maddeden oluşan ve 5’li likert tipi derecelendirmeye sahip Tevazu Ölçeği elde edilmiştir. Sonuçlar ilgili alan yazın çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.

Humility Scale Development Study

In this study, measuring instrument was developed to measure the strength of character humility. A qualitative research on humility was first made on 167 university students. Subsequently, pilot study was carried out after establishing a substance pool in the light of qualitative study findings and related field literature, taking the opinions and recommendations of field and language experts into consideration and making necessary corrections. In order to analyze the items of the Humility Scale and to reveal the factor structure, exploratory factor analysis was conducted through the collected data from 373 students. As a result of the factor analysis, it was decided that the scale was one-factor and in order to confirm the factor structure, confirmatory factor analysis was performed through the collected data from 302 students. Self-Esteem Inventory, Social Desirability Scale, Narcissistic Personality Inventory, and Beck Depression Inventory were used for the criterion- related validity of the scale. The internal consistency coefficient and the retest method were used for the reliability study of The Humility Scale. As a result of the analysis made, 5-point likert type Humility Scale, which consists of 9 items, was obtained.
