In this article, the understanding of value-free sociology which is emerged as a refl ectionof scientifi c approach of Enlightenment and adopted by almost all of the authoritiesof sociology is queried from different perspectives. In this context, in the study, fi rstlywe dwelled on what is understood by the concept of value-free and why it is regarded soimportant in sociology, afterwards we dealt some critics about conception and in the lastpart of the study we uttered our views and suggestions concerning to the subject.
