Folk literature, which is spread orally among the people, often contains social and culturalvalues within itself and thus presents the social quality to us. According to the dominant socialcontext, the unacceptable elements that are created and said are secretly included in thesestructures, one of which is homosexuality. In the fiction of epics, hetero-patriarchal thoughts aremaintained by the pressure of religious and social-cultural values on others through dialectics,they are blessed and thus homoerotic feelings are hidden under the name of cultural values.Hence the story takes shape according to power and heterosexual feelings. However, these homoeroticfeelings can still be learned through some character and behavior. In this context, thisstudy we have tried to be analyzed according to the Memê Alan Epic queer theory. Memê Alanis an epic in Kurdish and has become widespread among Kurds as well. In this study, this epicwas analyzed within the framework of these concepts such as gender, gender identity, language,culture, death, desire, love and pleasure. In this epic, some hidden homosexual symbols andqueer characters are identified.
