FELSEFEDE ÇOCUK ve ÇOCUKLUK KAVRAMI

Çocuk, günümüzde on sekiz yaşına girmemiş her bireydir. Çocuk denildiğinde akla gelen çocuğun bir birey olduğu algısı ve çocukluk dönemi düşüncesi günümüzde yer alan bir düşüncedir. Çocuk her çağda farklı bir biçimde ele alınır. Antik, Orta, Yeni ve Yakın Çağ, Modern Çağ’da yaşam dinamikleri değişir. Her çağ kendine özgü bir çocukluk anlayışı içerir. Çalışma, felsefede çocuk ve çocukluk kavramlarının çağlar boyunca geçirdiği değişimleri içerir. Antik Çağ’da çocuk, doğası gereği bir potansiyele sahiptir ve eğitim çocuğun şekillendirilmesinde etkin faktör olarak kabul edilir. Orta Çağ’da bir çocuk düşüncesi olmamakla birlikte küçük bir yetişkinin yetişkinliğe hazırlık süreci olarak çocukluk kavrayışından söz etmek gerekir. Bu çağda yetişkinden farklı olmadığı düşünülen çocuk, hazırlık sürecini iyi bir yetişkin olmak üzere geçirmelidir. Yeni Çağ’dan modern döneme uzanan süreçte ise çocuk günümüzdeki anlamına benzer olarak 17. yüzyılda keşfedilir, böylece çocuk ve çocukluğa atfedilen değer değişir. Çocuk, kendisine özgü bir yapıya sahip olabilecek bir kişi olarak kabul edilir. Modern döneme doğru çocuğun ve çocukluğun kendine özgü özellikleriyle ilgili çalışmaların yapılması, çocuğu anlamak ve anlamlandırmak bakımından etkilidir. Günümüzde yer alan sevgi, birey, eğitim vurgusu çocuk ve çocukluğun eski çağlara göre anlamının değiştiğini gösterir. Çalışma, eski çağlardan günümüze kadar olan kavramsal değişimi ele alır.

THE CONCEPT OF CHILD and CHILDHOOD IN PHILOSOPHY

The child is every individual who has not turned eighteen today. The perception that the child is an individual and the idea of childhood is a thought that is present today. The child is mentioned in a different format in every age. The dynamics of life changes in the Ancient, Medieval and Modern Age. Each age contains its own unique understanding of childhood. The study includes changes in the concept of the child and childhood in philosophy throughout the ages. In Ancient Times, the child has a potential by nature, and education is considered the effective factor in shaping the child. Although there was no child's thought in the Middle Ages, it is necessary to mention the childhood comprehension of a little adult as a process of preparation for adulthood. The child, who is considered no different from the adult at this age, must undergo the preparatory process in order to become a good adult. In the process extending from the New Age to the modern period, the child is discovered in the 17th century, similar to its current meaning so that the value attributed to the child and childhood changes. The child is considered a person who may have a structure of his own. It is effective to understand and make sense of the child by conducting studies related to the characteristics of the child and childhood towards the modern period. The emphasis on love, the individual, and education that takes place today indicates that the meaning of children and childhood has changed compared to ancient times. The study deals with the conceptual change from ancient times to the present day.
