Political Economy of The Later Egyptian Revolution

Revolution, “drastic and sudden substitution of one group in charge of the running of a territorial political entity by another group hitherto not running that government.”In Egypt, which one of the most important countries in the Middle East, a revolution took place several months ago, which led to noteworthy consequences for not only the region but also the world. Apart from a great number of reasons that had prepared the revolution, the economic and political chaos was of primary significance, for which tumult the Mubaraq Regime, who had been controlling the army and the economic sources for thirty years, is deemed to be responsible. What really disturbs the majority of the public are the facts that the sources had been misused; that the administrators, particularly the Mubaraq Family, had been involved in corruptions; and that the sources of the country have been siphoned to those people and groups that had been close to the government in power. In fact, these allegations that had been ongoing for years had accumulated and at last prepared the conditions for the revolution. At the end of the mentioned public movement, the President was forced to give up power and the administration was taken over by the army, which uttered plenty of promises, especially democracy. However, when and how these promises shall be realized bring about curiosities and worries. On the other hand, discussions for a new regime have also come on the agenda
