Polistiren üzerinde klorlama çalışmaları

Polistiren iyot katalizörlüğünde klorla halkada, benzoilperoksitle yine klorla zincirde klorlanmıştır. Her iki tür klorlamada % dönüşümün zamana, sıcaklığa ve hal./kat. mol oranına bağlılığı incelenmiş ve sonuçlar tartışılmıştır.

Chlorination studies on polystyrene

A series of chlorination studies were carried out. Polystyrene was chlorinated by using molecular chlorine, which on its ring in presence of iodine as catalyst and on its chain in presence of benzoyl peroxide as catalyst. In both kind of chlorination, depending on time, temperature, and mol ratio of halogen to catalyst of % conversion were investigated, and results were discused.
