Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Nargile İçme Konusundaki Bilgi, Tutum ve Davranışları

Amaç: Türkiye’de son dönemde tütünün nargile şeklinde tüketimi özellikle gençler arasında önemli bir artış göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin nargile konusundaki bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya, İstanbul’da bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinin tıp ve güzel sanatlar fakültesinde okuyan toplam 156 kişi katılmıştır. 26 sorudan oluşan anket yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle katılımcılara uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %52.6'sı erkek olup yaş aralıkları 18 ile 34 arasında ve yaş ortalamaları 23.84±2.60’dır. Araştırmamızda kadınların %45.9’u, erkeklerin ise %48.8’i nargile içmektedir. Knowledge, Attitude and Practices about Waterpipe Smoking in University Students

Objective: In the recent years, there is an important increase in tobacco consumption in the form of waterpipe, especially among younger people, in Turkey. This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude and practices of university students regarding waterpipe smoking. Material and Method: From a faculty of medicine and a faculty of fine arts, in total, 156 students participated in this study. The data was collected with face to face interviews using a questionnaire containing 26 questions. Results: Of the total participants, 52.6% were men; the age range was between 18 and 34 and the average age was 23.84±2.60.
