Myoclonic convulsion after a single dose administration of propofol for sedation: A case report

Propofol, a GABA-mediated inhibitor of excitatory neurotransmitter, is a widely used intravenous agent for general anaesthesia and sedation. It has also been known as an antiepileptic agent. But there have been several neurologic events reported, following propofol administration. This case report presents a young woman with myoclonic convulsions after a single dose of propofol.
