Avrupa Birliğinde Borç Krizi: Krize Karşı Geliştirilen Politikalar ve Euro Para Biriminin Geleceği

İlk olarak Yunanistan, sonra İrlanda ve Portekiz, uluslararası yardım olmadan bütçe açıklarını kontrol altına alamayacaklarını ve borçlarını geriye ödeyemeye- ceklerini açıkladılar. Daha sonra da İspanya ve Güney Kıbrıs destek için başvur- du. Özellikle Yunanistan örneğinde hazırlıksız yakalanan AB, sorunu aşmak için birlik hukukunu bile göz ardı etmek zorunda kaldı. Bu yazı dünya ekonomik kri- zi ve onun etkilerinin AB ekonomisi açısından değerlendirilmesini yapmakta ve Euro alanı çerçevesinde ekonomik sorunları ve bu sorunlara karşı gerçekleştiri- len mekanizmaları bir süreç olarak ele almaktadır.

Debt Crisis in the European Union: The Policy Response to the Crisis and the Future of the Euro

First Greece, then Ireland and Portugal, applied that, they can not pay back the- ir debts and control their budget deficits without international financial aid. Then Spain and Cyprus followed them. Especially in the case of Greece, the EU was unprepared and had ignored the EU law to overcome the problem. This paper analyses world economic crisis and its impact on the EU economy and the euro area as a process in terms of the economic problems and mechanisms, that cre- ated against these problems.
